As a forward-thinking startup, Implexus Lab is uniquely positioned to break away from traditional AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) industry limitations, offering bespoke digital twin solutions tailored to meet the complex needs of clients across government, defense, and manufacturing sectors. We were proud to showcase this capability at both Unreal Fest 2024 and Autodesk University 2024 this fall.
This digital twin represents a shift in how critical infrastructure is managed and monitored, combining real-world data with cutting-edge virtual modeling. By using Unreal Engine 5’s advanced rendering, simulation, and interactivity, we were able to create a highly detailed and fully immersive model that allows Argonne to monitor and optimize their operations in real-time. From predictive maintenance to scenario simulations, this tool provides long-lasting value while transforming traditional approaches to infrastructure management.
What sets Implexus Lab apart is our ability to meet the demanding security protocols required by clients in government, defense, and manufacturing—industries where data protection and system integrity are paramount. Throughout our presentations at both Unreal Fest and Autodesk University, we shared insights into how we navigate the complexities of building digital twins in a secure and sustainable way, ensuring that sensitive data remains protected while creating solutions that are robust and scalable for the future. One way is through the incorporation of a newly released plugin called Datasculpt.
We had the privilege of speaking alongside one of our clients, Derek Kultgen, Principal Mechanical Engineer of Argonne's METL facility about the groundbreaking work he is doing, and how Implexus has aided in realizing his visions in virtual reality.
Additionally, our CEO Sarah Causey contributed her expertise in a panel discussion on the future of digital twins, offering a fresh perspective on how digital twins are evolving in the AECO sector. The discussion, led by Autodesk Tandem's Head of Customer Success, Casey Mahon featured fellow digital twin developers Daniel Kolimar of NV5 and Sean Olcott of Gafcon Digital. Sarah shared how Implexus Lab’s startup agility allows us to innovate rapidly and provide custom-built solutions that address the specific challenges faced by our clients. Whether it’s integrating real-time data from secure sources or ensuring longevity in the virtual models we create, Implexus Lab is helping redefine what’s possible with digital twins in highly regulated environments.
We are incredibly grateful to Unreal Fest and Autodesk University for providing the platform to present this pioneering project. A special thanks goes to all who attended our sessions—your engagement and feedback inspire us to continue pushing the boundaries of digital innovation.
For those unable to attend, we are excited to share the following video of our digital twin case study, which highlights the innovative capabilities that we demonstrated at both conferences.
As a startup, Implexus Lab remains dedicated to delivering customized, secure, and future-proof digital twins for clients who demand nothing less than the highest standards. We look forward to continuing our journey of innovation, helping organizations transform their operations and unlock new possibilities with immersive technology.
